Wayne Mardle versus Phil Taylor

Alexandra Palace · London

Before it starts

The first World Championship at Alexandra Palace. Phil Taylor is the most successful player in the sport's history; Wayne Mardle, Hawaiian shirt and all, has the crowd on his side.

That's all we'll tell you. No score, no winner, nothing that happened after the start.
